Eye Makeup tips
For widely spaced eyes
use darker eye shadow close to the nose, so that the eyes are drawn close together. It also helps to use brown, bronze or copper, never black. In fact you can never go wrong with browns & coppers, they go especially well with Indian complexion. IF YOU ARE ADVENTUROUS TRY BLUES. They look stunning, but they need to be blended very very carefully. Overdone blues can be travesty. * Similarly you can create the illusion of space for eyes that are close together. Just use darker eye shadow towards the far corners of eyes. * To de- emphasize deep set eyes, highlight them with a light powder on the lids & outer brow bone area.
For Really Big Eyes
Use a very fine line along the upper lid. So fine that you are not able to see this line easily, even with a hand mirror. * Before you apply eye shadow apply some translucent powder below the eyes to catch any particles. You can easily dust off these particles with a complexion brush or a simple shaving brush.
IF You Have Small Eyes
don't apply kajal along the inside of the eye. Do the outer corners of the lower lid. On the top eye lid , apply kajal as you like it. * Use translucent powder just under the eyes after you apply kajal to avoid smudging & spreading ( don't want a black eye, do you?) during the day. Remove extra kajal with a cotton bud. * "Kohl" is a better option than "kajal "for any kind of eyes. An eyeliner can be too harsh. Though everyone seems to like it, very few can carry it off.
