Cleansing the skin :

Dip a piece of cotton wool in unboiled milk and wipe on the face with it. It also cleans unseen dirt and goes down to pores. Skin Moisturizer: For normal skin mix 1 tablespoon orange juice and 1 tablespoon lemon juice in a cup of yogurt, to make a paste. Apply it on face as a mask and keep it on for 15 minutes. Then clean it off with a wet tissue. This mask enhances the complexion and glow of face. Nourishing the skin A protein mask help to nourish your skin. Soak a teaspoon of urad dal and 5-6 almonds overnight. Grind this to a fine paste apply this protein mask on face and wash it off after half an hour. This mask nourishes the facial skin and also enhances the complexion.

Face Packs:
1.Silk Cotton tree thorn paste ( For Pimples)
Ingredients :-
. Big thorns of Silk cotton tree.
2. Milk
Method of preparation :- Rub thorns briskly and circularly on a grinding stone (Available in Indian stores or temples) sprinkling milk at intervals. The paste start accumulating on grinding stone as the process continues. Collect the paste so formed and apply it as a face pack. Hair Removal & Treatment


Women get concerned if they have unwanted excessive dark or dense hair growth (known as hirsutism) on their face or any other part of the body. Both the men and women have the same number of hairs, but the men's hair are denser and darker due to the presense of male hormone testosterone in their body.
In women this may be caused by hormonal changes at puberty, pregnancy, irregular periods, menopause , stress, or it may be hereditary or a result of a drug. Sometimes it could be a side effect of a steroid cream or hormone pills taken to treat other conditions.

Facial & Body Hair Removal
Remove your hair on face and body by the following :
1. Apply a mask of a paste made of sugar, lemon and water in the direction of hair growth. Rinse after 10-15 minutes. Apply twice a week.
2.Apply a mask of a mixture of 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and 4 teaspoons honey in the direction of hair growth. Rinse after 10-15 minutes. Apply twice a week.
3.To turn hair golden brown, apply before bedtime a paste of 2 teaspoon fresh lime juice and ½ teaspoon sugar, 3-4 times a week for 2 months.
4.Mix turmeric powder with milk and apply on the face. Scrub it off slowly moving your fingers in circular motion, and then wash with cold water.
5.Blend one egg white with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 tablespoon of corn flour until it becomes a sticky paste. Apply the mixture to your face. When it dries gently peel it off. Repeat this 3-4 times a week.
6. For Legs hair removal:Mix well ground white pepper with camphor and a few drops of kerosene. Apply on the legs and leave for a 10-15 minutes. The hair will fall off.
7.Body hair removal: Body Sugaring
Sugaring Solution:
Mix lemon juice (1/2 lemon), sugar (1 cup), and honey (1/4 cup) in a bowl. Microwave or heat on a stove until it bubbles up into a smooth consistency. Remove from heat and let it cool to a temperature you can an touch it.
Application for Removing Hair:
Wash and dry your body part where you want to remove hair. Dust with some cornstarch or plain flour to absorb body oil. Spread a thin layer of the sugaring solution in the direction of the hair. Cover with a strip of fabric, rub your hand on the strip and pull it off quickly against the direction of the hair growth. It will be slight painful, but tolerable. Repeat it 2-3 times.
You can store the unused sugaring solution in a jar and reheat the mixture when you use it next time.

The hair should have that vital, alive look with a shine, elasticity and bounce. It is this vitality that is responsible for the youthful quality that all women try so hard to achieve.

Hair is a protein matter called “Keratin”. The hair that we see on the head is a horny substance that is actually “dead”. Hair like the skin owes its color to melanin, the pigmentation that is formed in the special cells. This depends mainly on the hereditary characteristics and can also be influenced by racial factors. The texture of the hair also depends on these factors. Hair has certain
characteristics which helps us to know how to handle it. For one thing hair is porous. This allows dyes and other lotions to penetrate the outer layer, causing the hair to be bleached, tinted or dyed. Before you get down to hair care, it is important to first make sure what kind of hair you have, and then to look after sit accordingly.

Dry hair:

Dry hair, for example, would need plenty of nourishment. The roots require extra oil and feeding. So if you have dry hair, make it a point to use shampoos and tonics that have nutritive value, preferably with lanolin o
r Vaseline bases. Eggs shampoos go a long way towards preventing hair dryness.

Hot oil treatments, like massages with warm olive oil are extremely beneficial for toning dry hair and for preventing it from becoming brittle. It is a good idea to steam the scalp before a hot oil massage is done. Soaking a towel in hot water and wrapping it around the scalp is an excellent method for opening up the pores of the scalp. Since this is an easy treatment it can be at home easily.
Right methods of hair massage, a good nourishing hair preparation is required. With the fingers planted firml
y on the head, work in small, circular strokes, first clockwise and then anti-clockwise, moving the skin of the scalp as you do so. A listless massage is useless.
Wash hair with lanolin based shampoo, and always rinse your hair with a gentle acidic solutions so as to rid the scalp of the alkaline mantle. This is easily and economically done by using 2 tbsp of cosmetic vinegar in your last rinse. It helps prevent excessive oiliness and gives the scalp a chance to prevent as well as to rid itself of infection.

Oily hair:
Oily hair requires a completely different therapy. It is important to remember that though brushing is very good
for healthy hair, too much brushing is not good for oily hair because it stimulates oil glands that are already over-active. You must take care to buy something that will brace the scalp and prevent oiliness. If your hair is oily, it needs ti be washed every third or fourth day. A good nourishing shampoo is often the best for oily hair. Excessive oiliness, when neglected, often leads to falling hair and premature baldness, especially in men, after 35.

Step 1
First thing on your routine should be cleansing. Most of us use some kind of make-up on our skin, so cleansing is very essential. A cactus cleanser with a lemon base is the best. Cactus is ideal for rehydrating the skin. The cleanser must be massaged gently, into the skin, paying particular attention to the creases of the nose under the chin, neck and ear lobes.

Step 2
Second step is toning of the skin, toning removes the last stages of cleanser and dissolves dirt. It is good if you use skin toning lotion. A skin tonic, with mint and honey base would be excellent for delicate & parched skin. Skin tonic braces the skin and tightens the pores, especially under the eyes and on the jaw line.


Step 3
Third step is nourishing the skin, if you want to prevent it from dryness. Every night, a nourishing cream with preferably an orange base, should be used. If you feelthat your skin is very dry, use a second application. A nourishing cream with vitamin E would work wonders.

Supplying moisture to the skin by use of suitable cosmetic aids is the only way to prevent the skin from drying up.

Toning: Skin toner should be utilized to revitalize the skin and to get it a proper complexion. Toning improves blood circulation in the skin and helps skin tissues to remain tight and firm.

Nourishing: It is very important to maintain the natural oil of the skin to make the skin lively. Different vitamin skin cream could be used to nourish the skin. A lot of nourishing cream could also be used.

Moisturizing: All living things require moisture. Skin gets dry and looses its gloss. To give it the real look moisture should be applied from outside in the form of cream or lotion. It is better to use moisture just after bath. As someone gets older he / she requires more moisturizing.

Taking care of your skin

If you want a good skin, the most important thing is to take care of it daily. Make it your habit. Your diet also plays an important part, so does getting adequate sleep and exercise.

Facial Mask

Ingredients Needed:
2-3 large carrots
4 1/2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.



Glowing Facial Mask

All you need is:
1 tbsp f
uller's earth
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mashed papaya

Mix and put on face for 20 minutes then rinse off.


Honey Facial Mask

Perhaps the best facial mask is honey. Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week.


Orange Yogurt Mask

* 1 tsp plain yogurt (I chose Balkan Style)
* the juice of 1/4 of an orange Stir to mix and then dip fingers into

mixture and smooth onto face. The sensation is both cool and relaxing. Leave on for a five minutes and then rinse. If you are feeling sluggish, this is the perfect mask for you.

Sea salt removes dry, flaky, dead skin.


Wet face (or anywhere on the body), apply a couple of tablespoons of sea salt, t
hen GENTLY massage with a wet washcloth or fingers. Focus on the T-zone and cheeks, but avoid the eye area. After one or two minutes, rinse with cold water to tighten the pores. It is important to do this regularly, or face-creams will not penetrate. You can do this maximum once per week.

Mix shortenin
g & drink mix together in a microwave safe bowl till smooth!
Place in microwave on high for 30 seconds until mix beco

Pour into clean film container, or any other small airtight container!

Place mix into fridge for 20-30 minutes or till firm!


Dark Circles Under Eyes
To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue and apply an eye cream.
